What is all the noise about MTB Swasey Rec Area? Let me tell you on this site or better yet, why don’t you share with me your MTB experience. I think I am going to allow guest bloggers later on as this site gets noticed. In the meantime, I will do my best to convey how AWESOME Swasey Recreation Area is and why you need to go MTB riding with me there.
Swasey Recreation Area has evolved over the last few years thanks to RTA. RTA has put in a lot of work on the trails here at Swasey Rec Area. It’s incredible! March of 2017, they finished up the “Enticer” flow trail which has been a BIG hit here in the Redding CA area. The “Snail Trail” is another awesome addition. I call it “Berm City”. Yeah, right off the bat you start down with 10 berms.
Swasey Recreation Area has a number of MTB trails to choose from and you can loop for hours. Enticer, Wintu, Escalator, Meiners Loop, Terminator, Mule Ridge and Summit, Cosmos, Princess Ditch. I know I am forgetting some but you get the point. Just come here and ride MTB with me, Crazy Chris. I’ll give you the grand tour of my many loops I ride just from my house.
Swasey Recreation Area has been a great spot to hold DEMOs from various companies, Santa Cruz, Salsa, etc. Also, it has been the stage for a few organized races like “Blazing Saddles”, “Mule Mountain”. Swasey Rec Area is one of my favorite places to MTB ride for sure. I have done some work and put in the time honing my MTB skill here. So, keep an eye out for new posts/ videos of me shredding the “Enticer”.
